Hostgator FTP getting started

Setting up a Hostgator FTP is not all that hard to do. What an FTP does is allow you, the domain owner, to move, modify, delete and add files into and out of your Hostgator account.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

FTP is what most most webmasters use to upload their files, pages, and pictures to the internet. There are many different FTP programs available, some free, some paid, and some just better than others.

Where can I download a free FTP?

There are several FTP clients which you may download and install for free.
